Alvin Miclat - Former PHSA Employee Accused of Sexual Misconduct

  Alvin Miclat is a former employee of Philippine high school for the Arts and was accused of sexual misconduct by former and current students of the school.  The stories broke when vice world news  posted an article about the " culture of abuse " in the said school.  In the said article, students detailed the abuse they experienced by two employees of the school.   The first one is already dead (apparent suicide) in 2018 and the other one is Alvin Miclat.  Senate and Congress both passed resolution to investigate this accusations.  DepEd, headed by the current vice president of the philippines, Sara Duterte, tasked the NBI (National Bureau of Investigation) to conduct impartial investigation on the said abuses.   Early August, NBI investigation met a road block since no one from the allege victims or witnesses wants to file any charges against Alvin Miclat.  With this, the NBI only submit recommendations of how to make the school a...

Who is the real Alvin Miclat — PHSA accused of Sexual Misconduct

  Contrary to most of the news that appears online, the real Alvin Miclat still an employee of PHSA and just resigned recently. As of this time, he is not arrested or dead. The investigation by the NBI is already done and since no one wants to file cases, they can only recommend measures so the school can improve in terms of avoiding cases like this to happen again. Some news articles claimed that the NBI hit road block since the complainants does not want to file any charges against Miclat. It is very important to make corrections on news that are not validated. Photos of him online as mostly using a different person’s photo and NOT the real Alvin Miclat in PHSA. The photo of the real Alvin Miclat, the Faculty in PHSA (Philippine High School for the Arts) is the one in this article. According to his facebook page which is open for public, he just resigned to his post in PHSA on August 14, 2022.
